Benjamin "Ben" Levine has extensive experience as an engineering and product leader in companies ranging from startups to Google. He has started product management practices from the ground up in startups and led major product initiatives in large companies. He has developed product strategies that turned around business units and developed and launched products that outperformed all others in the business's portfolio. Ben's Experience
Ben started his career in academia after completing a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. He was on the engineering faculty at the University of Pittsburgh and CMU. He moved to California to join a startup, Rapport Inc., that was commercializing some technology he had helped develop in graduate school. He led engineering and product efforts at Rapport, obtaining over $30 million in VC funding and successfully building market-leading processor chips. He then joined Cryptography Research, leading engineering efforts that resulted in the acquisition of the company by Rambus for $342 million in 2011. At Rambus, he launched the product management practice for the cryptography business unit, serving as Senior Director of Product Management, developing and launching several major product lines. He then joined Marvell as Head of Product for the Security Solution Business Unit, helping to turn around the unit into the growth leader in the whole company. After Marvell, he was a product management leader at Google, helping drive key product initiatives in the GChips division. Ben started Montclair Strategy Advisors in order to share his experience with growing companies and help them succeed as he has in his career.
